Showing this ring to the gargoyle at the beginning of the Gargoyle's Maze will teleport you to the end of the maze, right at the tower entrance.Many of the boxes in this area have traps in them.Its curse is not related to the cursed armour set. This ring is not part of the Tyrant's Set.The curse cannot be removed from the ring itself.To close this quest, have a character equip the cursed ring and then cast Bless on that character to remove the curse.If you already have Bless, the statue won't do anything. If you have not yet acquired Bless, interacting with the statue will teleport your main character to The Hall of Echoes. You will encounter another statue inside this treasure room.Warning: If you have not yet acquired the two associated quests, do not destroy the other Soul Jars.Once you solve the riddles, you will be granted access to the treasure room, which has plenty of loot. There are Soul Jars here as well, for Trompdoy as well as for the two other quests above that are associated with this area.If you cannot figure out the solution, it is revealed below. If you have the Pet Pal talent, a Rat on the ground will reveal that the key to the solution is in the words. After Trompdoy dies and you progress further, you will meet a Statue of Illusions which will give you two riddles.It is located at the end of the area, where the ruins were. Trompdoy will ask for your forgiveness and ask you to free his soul by destroying his Soul Jar.If you do not have Bless yet, you will have the opportunity to acquire it in this same area. Do not equip the ring unless you've acquired the skill Bless. Defeat Trompdoy and acquire the Band of Braccus from his corpse.He will ambush you and try to attack you with 3-4 doppelgangers. Trompdoy will try to stop you throughout this area, so prepare to fight.Simply move across the gap and the bridge will reveal itself. If you take a look at your mini-map, you will find an invisible bridge that will lead you to the other side of the area (near the illusory chests). Loitering around is Trompdoy, who insults you and attempts to tell you to leave.Upon entering the Dark Cavern (this area), you will notice that the entrance to the ruins is blocked off.The region is circled below, and the orange circle indicates where the entrance is. At the southeast side of the island in between the Sanctuary of Amadia and the Gargoyle's Maze where the Voidwoken Salamanders are, there is an illusory cave entrance.This quest is also associated with the quests A Fate Worse Than Death and The Vault of Braccus Rex.Loot the Band of Braccus ring from his dead body.Search the ruins and defeat the mad illusionist Trompdoy.The Helm can be used to destroy The Shriekers.īand of Braccus is not part of this set and has its own quest: The Cursed Ring.The Cursed Ring is a personal Quest in Divinity: Original Sin II. Puffball + empty potion bottle to create a minor potion of wits, increasing wits by 1.Īll items except Helm have some sort of negative status effect, but they get removed when you wear complete set on one character. Tyrant's Stride can only be found in the statue with 15 or more in the Wits attribute, if you don't have this, consider using: Peace of Mind scroll to increase wits by 4. The tower is located at the back of The Gargoyle's Maze. The gloves will also fall out of the tomb. Or use a trap disarm kit on the tomb lid and it will trigger a poison trap. *Hands of the Tyrant, is inside a coffin at Braccus Rex's Tower. You will find this when doing The Vault of Braccus Rex quest. *Heart of Tyrant is in Dark Cavern, atop a brazier. There are lightning clouds in the tower, so it's hard not to see. You will need to be upon the adjacent cliff to teleport someone inside the tower to collect the loot within. *Tracks of the Tyrant can be found on top of the tower to the NE of Fort Joy, along the coast just passed where you encounter Windego. NOTE - Using the Tyrant's Helm to cast Purge one too many times will summon a demon, leading to combat. There is a Source tap nearby in the room if you're in need. *Tyrant's Helm can be found at Decrepit Ruins.įor reference, look to the courtyard down the steps from the Hollow Marshes - Ruined Castle waypoint, the area in which you first help Gareth survive a Magister attack.Īfter a brief dialogue with the remaining Magister, one can use Bless to cleanse the Cursed lever near the corpses. You will need 15 Wits to notice the item when interacting with the statue. Interact with the statue to get the Tyrant's Stride, but don't equip it just now, it's cursed. On the left side the passage there is a statue, climb the ladder to reach it. *Tyrant's Stride can be found in Ancient Passage, which is made accessible during the quest Withermoore's Soul Jar.
